the first thing that stroke in this one was the skilled use of blurring/film grain, secondly the color scheme amplifies the emotions of the model. the layout in the picture was interesting as the small details fade in to the background as if they were telling a story from a few minutes before coming to this point. from the first impact this stroke me as a good quality picture, with thought and originality as well. capturing emotions is a form of art that needs practice and patience and in my opinion the photographer has done a great job doing so in this picture.
I must admit I an new enough to photography that I cant offer a useful critique- but I know what I like and for me this picture works on a lot of levels- great composition, the muted almost sepia colour, and of course the exact right look and pose of your model. Thanks for sharing this here on DA
